Murdoch MAC DONALD & Family
Murdoch Mac Donald was born in 1895 in NORTH SHORE,Cape Breton. His parents were Mary and Angus Mac Donald.He moved to Sydney in the 1920's and worked at and operated grocery stores for the next 40 years. He was a lay minister at the Sydney Gospel Hall for this time period. He married Mary (Millie) Caswell, and they had 6 children; Robert Beryl Lois Kenneth Keith Carol Halifax Sydney Sydney Halifax Sydney Brit.Columbia Murdoch died in March 1961, and is buried in Hardwood Cemetery,Sydney.

Murdoch Keith MacDonald 67, SYDNEY - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Keith Mac Donald of Kennedy Avenue, Sydney, Monday, May 9, 2005. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Murdoch and Mary Amelia (Caswell) Mac- Donald. Keith was retired from the Cape Breton County Correctional Centre, where he was employed as a correctional officer for several years. He also spent many happy years in auto sales where he made many friends. He was a member of the Sydney Pensioners Club, where he was unbeatable at tarabish. Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Louise (Bonnell); sons, Dav i d (Esther) , Lawrencetown, and Darryl (Esther), Truro; daughters, Kimberley (David) Briggins, Halifax, and Jane (Jerry) Aguinaga, Tantallon; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Ben, Christopher, Rebekah, Jenna, Sam, Lauren and Mary Elizabeth; sisters, Beryl MacDonald and Lois MacDonald, Sydney, and Carol (George) Ramsay, Halifax; brother, Robert, Dartmouth; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Bonnell. He will be sadly missed by his loyal cat, Buddy. Keith was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth. Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Thursday, 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Sydney Gospel Hall, Whitney Avenue, Friday, 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Hardwood Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorials may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Now free of life’s struggles, he is at peace with the Lord.
